Amanda Hocking: My Blood Approves

Amanda Hocking: My Blood Approves (My Blood Approves, #1)
5/5

Teenager Alice Bonham's life feels crazy after she meets Jack. With his fondness for pink Chuck Taylors and New Wave, he's unlike anyone she knows. Then she meets his brother, Peter. Even though he can't stand the sight of her, she's drawn to him. Falling for two guys isn't even the worst of her problems. Jack and Peter are vampires, and Alice finds herself caught between love and her own blood.

The book was great. It was well written and the characters were great. But I just hate that every time the heroine it just too dumb to realise the truth. Ok, I propably wouldn't believe in vampires at first either, but there were so many clues and still she didn't figure it out. Aaagh... She never even thought about it.

I love Alice, but I'm not sure about the love triangle between Alice, Jack and Peter. Right now I don't like Peter at all, but maybe that will change. I hope not. I hate when there are love triange and I love all the characters. Someone end up alone in the end. I just hate it. And right now I hope that Alice will end up with Jack and Peter can go to hell. But I have this bad feeling, that that's not going to happen. Well, I just need to read the next book and hope for the best.

This was great start for this series, I'm completely hooked. Well done! :D

Lizzy Ford: Autumn Storm

Lizzy Ford: Autumn Storm (The Witchling, #2)
5/5

A girl with no memory, hidden in plain sight. A boy with no hope, freefalling into Darkness.

Autumn doesn’t know why she remembers a boarding school she’s never visited, or why her reflection isn’t always … hers. There’s another girl in the mirror, a dark-haired ghost that emerges one night to guide her to a cliff near the school. Only Autumn can’t remember what happened there and why it’s so important. Beck’s gentle touch soothes her distress while Decker’s every look sets her body on fire. Caught between the twins, she struggles to understand her instincts and magick while working through the pain caused by a mysterious car accident that left her disabled, barely able to walk.

Unable to recover from Summer’s death, Decker slowly surrenders to the Dark. He can’t live with the pain, and those around him keep Autumn’s secret too well. The guilt he feels when he falls for her – and betrays Summer’s memory – drives him farther from the Light, until he loses control and begins taking the souls of Light witchlings. As the protector of Light, Beck must choose between confronting his twin and watching more witchlings suffer. Decker realizes Beck has come between more than him and the witchlings. With neither of them willing to let Autumn go, they turn on each other.

Only one of them knows the truth. Only one of them will walk away, unless Autumn can find a way to save them both.

The first thing I loved about this book, was the cover. I think it's amazing and lovely and something about it just appeals to me. It's simple, yet so beautiful. And I love the colours. I mean, look at it. It's perfect, itäs so balanced and everything. And the lips... ♥♥

And then I started reading. Loved it. But I didn't have the chance to read 1.5 novella Summer Night, so the beginning of this book was really confusing. I'm mean really. I quickly figured it out, but first I was like "What? I don't get this."

If I understood correctly, the novella is pretty much important part of the story, so if was kind of stupid, 'cos I couldn't read it. Somehow I just missed it.

But overall the book was amazing. I loved every page of it. I was well written and the characters are amazing as was in the first book. Luckily now I have the chance to read the next novella, so I don't miss anything.

But I love, love, love this series. Seriously. Read it! Lizzy Ford is amazing author and I'm looking forward to read more her books.
